ImHuman is now FheID

a new name for what we’ve actually built

Would you like to know more about the project?

Today, we are rebranding the ImHuman app to FheID.

Not because the product changed, but because the name should finally match the thing that makes us different:

Proof of Humanity powered by biometrics using Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE).

Most verification tools compete on surface-level features. We compete on architecture.

Why FheID

FHE lets you run verification on encrypted data - so you don’t have to build your system around “collect raw biometrics, store templates, hope nothing leaks.” That’s the gap we set out to fix.

What this means in practice

With FheID, we’re building Proof of Humanity that’s:

  • Harder to game (real users, no bots/scripts)
  • Stronger by design (encrypted computation as a default assumption)
  • Flexible (face and palm + more in the future, so partners can choose the right check for the risk level)
  • Reusable (a verification layer that plugs into many apps, not just one)

What’s changing (and what isn’t)

  • ✅ New name: FheID
  • ✅ Clearer positioning: encrypted biometrics ID for Proof of Humanity
  • ❌ Not changing: the mission, the team, or the product direction

We’ll roll out the new branding across the app, site, and partner materials next. Same tool - sharper identity.

FheID. Proof of Humanity, built on encrypted computation.
